In order to apply the latest smart system in the field of Traffic Engineering and technological innovation during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in State of Qatar.

KTC has successfully implemented the Bus Priority System for Public Work Authority (Ashghal) by integrating with the Bus Fleet Management System of Mowasalat to provide priority traffic for FIFA World Cup buses in cooperation with Australian transportation department of New South Wales.

As a result, an automated technology of opening traffic lights is provided in conjunctions synchronized with the arrival of buses accordingly prioritizing the movement of Buses, thereby reducing the travel time to reaching World Cup Stadiums by reducing delays, obstructs and stops.

KTC Technical Team is presently maintaining the Bus Priority System to ensure a smooth operation of the Traffic intersections during FIFA World Cup 2022.
